While you are waiting for Luckiest Man, download a free copy of the book that inspired this site

May 8th, 2011 by Al Lewis (alewis)

The idea to market Lou Gehrig jerseys to raise proceeds and awareness for ALS was first made public in the economic policy humor book Why the Heck Aren’t We Already Doing This Stuff?  12 Economic Policy Ideas Even a Congressman Could Understand. The Gehrig jersey was the idea that got people’s attention though there are other good ideas too.

Don’t be turned off by the word “economic” in the title.   Why the Heck is written in words so short that even the densest presidential hopeful can understand them.  So you don’t need a PhD to read Why the Heck. You don’t even need a Masters. Or, for that matter, a BA, a high-school equivalency diploma, or even an up-to-date inspection sticker.

Best of all, it’s free to download so you don’t have to guess whether I’m telling the truth.

I’m not quite sure how to put a link in these blogs so you’ll have to cut-and-paste the below or just click on “book” in the upper left-hand corner of the www.whytheheck.com blog itself.  I’ll try to put something directly in Facebook as well.

Meanwhile, Jon and I are working on the Luckiest Man subsidized distribution project and of course, the main jersey project is still proceeding apace.
